COVID-19 Policies/ Procedures

NDCKA adhere to the guidelines and recommendations released by the Department of Education & Training and the Department of Health & Human Services.

As such we have in place an Operational COVID-19 Policy which outlines procedures and risk mitigation strategies which must be adhered to by all staff. Our policy also pays reference to the responsibility of families attending our service.

Below are the current guidelines in place for families. Please note these are subject to change with minimal notice pending direction from DET and DHHS.

Drop Off & Pick Up Procedures:

  • Families to adhere to the 1.5-meter distancing rule and follow floor signage upon dropping off & collecting your child/children.
  • A child who presents with ANY cold or flu type symptoms will not be allowed into the Service. This is to protect both Children and Staff.
  • Face mask should be worn when needed in accordance with state government legislation.

Changes to cleaning Schedule in Services:

  • External Cleaning contractors have been employed to perform infection control cleans once a week.

Changes Personal Hygiene Measures:

  • Each child will need to sanitise hands upon entry of the centre.
  • Hand towels will not be used and paper towels will be supplied.
  • A child who presents with ANY cold or flu type symptoms will be sent home immediately.
  • There will be no sharing of home prepared goods for Birthday celebrations.
