Catherine Hardiker, Teacher

My name is Catherine and I will be the 3 year old kinder teacher.

I graduated in 2018 from RMIT University with studies in both Primary and Early Childhood. I have worked in the Early Childhood field as a Kinder Teacher. I have worked at various kindergartens in and around the Darebin area over the years and I have also done some casual relief work in Primary Schools in the early years.

I believe in forming close, warm and responsive relationships with the children and families. I value the importance of teaching the children social and emotional skills needed for long life learning. In my program, I love to incorporate music, movement, yoga and relaxation activities. I highly value the importance that play based learning brings for a child’s overall development and wellbeing and aim to implement a stimulating play-based environment where children can grow and flourish in a warm environment.

In my spare time; I enjoy walking my dog, outdoor adventures, gardening, yoga and cooking.
